When you plan your vacation, you usually leave booking a hotel as a last item on the list. Such an approach is often a source of trouble, primarily during travels in the company of your family. You should book your hotel first. Otherwise it is all too easy to get stuck with a poorly managed hotel located in the middle of nowhere.
In the US Summer is the usually the busiest holiday season, hence my desire to share a few tips about how to book a hotel for your summer vacation.
Many tourists tend to focus their search new and luxurious hotels while it is a good idea to look for some old and traditional hotels which provide not only great track record of customer service but also offer these services at a lower price. I remember a customer whom I help book a hotel in LA that was a hundred years old. What is more, the price was 25% lower in comparison to a modern hotel. He really enjoyed his stay and confided in me that the staff revealed him a great deal of interesting stories of past celebrities.
The general trend for hotels located in proximity of popular tourist destinations is to be more expensive and crowded that those situated at a greater distance. For example, me and my family have went for holiday to Las Vegas, and booked a hotel located half a mile from the downtown, but it was definitely cheaper and more comfortable.
